Reasons for Emergency AC Repair Service
Many people struggle to decide whether their AC problem warrants an emergency service call. The bottom line is this: if you ever feel that your safety or property has become threatened through a malfunctioning air conditioner, you have an emergency situation. A few specific examples can serve to illustrate emergency situations.
Bad Smells: If you ever detect foul smells from your air conditioner vents, then you likely have an emergency situation. Specifically, the smell of burning or melting plastic warrants a call for emergency service. This usually means either an electrical issue, or that a part has become so overheated that it has caught fire.
Odd Noises: Uncomfortable noises, especially high whines or screaming, can also necessitate a call for emergency service. These can indicate a loose fan belt or, even worse, a compressor running at too high of a level. This creates a serious issue with the pressure inside of your system, and means you should call us right away.
Lack of Air Flow: No air flow whatsoever, or heavily restricted air flow, indicates either a struggling or totally crashed air conditioner system. Many issues may have caused this, including a failed thermostat, a malfunctioning blower, or an HVAC that has finally failed completely. This becomes an emergency situation when temperatures in your house leave you uncomfortable.
